Hello!
Privacy policy

Effective Date: January 17, 2025

RadiantTemplates is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where it applies. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.

RadiantTemplates is the data controller for the personal data processed as described in this policy. For privacy inquiries, contact: hello@radianttemplates.com.

1. What data we collect
1.1 Personal data you provide
  • Account registration / Google Login: name, email address, profile image (if available), Google account ID.
  • Purchases: billing email, transaction id, order records required for accounting/tax.
  • Support communications: messages you send via support forms or email.
1.2 Data collected automatically
  • Device and browser information (user agent, IP when required for security), anonymized analytics data.
  • Usage data such as pages visited and interactions with templates (used to improve the product).
2. localStorage & client-side storage (explicit)

We use browser localStorage for a small set of functions necessary for the site to work correctly and to provide a smooth user experience. These items are stored only locally in the user's browser and are not set as third-party cookies.

Keys we store and why
  • auth_token β€” Authentication token used to keep a user logged in between page loads. Purpose: session/authentication. Retention: until logout, account deletion, or token expiry.
  • email β€” User email used to prefill forms and personalize the UI. Purpose: convenience & account identification. Retention: until account deletion or user clears storage.
  • userOfferCountdownEnd β€” Timestamp used by an on-site countdown (example script stores a numeric end-time so the countdown persists across reloads). Purpose: consistent offer countdown display. Retention: until the countdown end or until the user clears localStorage.

Note: localStorage items are not automatically sent to our server unless an API call includes them (for example, the auth token is included in authenticated API requests). We do not use localStorage to track users across sites.

3. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
  • Contractual necessity: processing necessary to perform the contract (account management, delivery of purchased templates).
  • Legitimate interests: product improvement, fraud prevention, and site security (balanced against user rights).
  • Consent: for marketing emails, non-essential cookies (analytics/marketing) and other optional features.
  • Legal obligation: where required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance.
4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site operation and, with user consent, for analytics and marketing. Non-essential cookies are only placed after the user gives explicit consent via our cookie banner. localStorage usage described above is separate from cookies and is used for essential functionality (no consent required for strictly necessary storage).

5. Who we share data with

We may share personal data with:

  • Service providers who perform services on our behalf (hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment processors, analytics).
  • Legal or governmental authorities where required by law.

Examples of categories of sub-processors: Webflow (hosting), Google (authentication), cloud storage providers, payment processors, email service providers, and analytics providers. We enter Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with third-party processors and require appropriate safeguards.

6. International data transfers

If we or our processors transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards) or that the transfer is to a jurisdiction with an adequacy decision.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. Typical retention periods:

  • Account data (email, name): retained until account deletion or as required by law.
  • Authentication tokens: retained until token expiry, logout, or account deletion.
  • Purchase/transaction records: retained for accounting and tax compliance (typically several years depending on jurisdiction).
  • Analytics data: retained up to 26 months unless aggregated/anonymized earlier.
  • Support communications: retained up to 12 months for quality and support purposes.
  • Countdown timestamp (userOfferCountdownEnd): retained until the stored timestamp expires or the user clears localStorage.
8. Your rights

Under GDPR you have rights, including:

  • Access to your personal data
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure (right to be forgotten) where applicable
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Object to certain processing activities

To exercise your rights, contact: hello@radianttemplates.com. We will respond within 30 days, or sooner if required by law. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

9. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls, secure hosting, and contractual safeguards with processors.

10. Data breach notification

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals and supervisory authorities without undue delay and, where feasible, within 72 hours as required by GDPR.

11. Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe we have collected data from someone under 16, contact us at hello@radianttemplates.com and we will promptly take steps to delete such data if required.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. For material changes we will provide prominent notice (e.g., banner or email) prior to the change taking effect.
